Autumn 1 - Greek Myths

This half term, we have been looking at Greek Myths. We started by looking at the story of Icarus and Daedalus and created a newspaper report based on this. We had to use our knowledge of the story to write about the key events using our Year 4 writing targets. We then moved on to 'Theseus and the Minotaur' and created our own beats inspired by the story. We had to make sure we used lots of descriptive language so that our reader could build a picture in their mind of what our beast would look like.

Here is our shared write on the CROCOTAUR!

We also looked social diversity in Ancient Greece and compared the differences between Athens and Sparta. We also used our creative skills to create Greek vases inspired by the popular Greek myth, 'Perseus and Medusa'.
